Ales Holan
Ing. Aleš Holan has got a master degree of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Brno University of Technology, Czech Republic. He also holds an MBA degree from the University of Pittsburgh, USA.
He started his career as a designer in the turbine department at the 1st Brno Engineering Plant, Brno. After 1989 he started his own business and since the end of 1991 he worked for Shell, where he started as a sales representative in the oils and lubricants department. During his further career he worked in various international management positions in sales and marketing.
In 2005 he was appointed as Vice-Chairman ofthe Board of Directors of Shell Czech Republic a.s..
His project management experience includes the implementation of the global contract between Shell and ŠkodaAuto and the relocation of the customer centre from Warsaw to Krakow in Poland.
Currently, he is working as a mentor on several projects, cooperating for example with the Central Bohemian Innovation Centre and start-ups from the Vodafone, StartupYard and xPort incubators in Prague.
Between 2009-2020 he was an external lecturer at the University of Economics in Prague.
Interests
Ales's great hobby is motorsport and golf.
